LESSON PACKAGES
Discounted monthly lesson packages are available. Packages include weekly lessons and is payable by the first of the month. For more details on the lesson policy, please call Ridgefield Arena at (636) 527-3624.
Private / Semi private lessons also available.

GROUP LESSONS: $65
60 mins, please arrive 15 minutes before your lesson time for tacking up. Lessons are 1 hr including mounting, adjusting and safety checks.
DISCOUNTED MONTHLY LESSON PACKAGE: $55 (per lesson)
Entire package must be paid in full before the first lesson of the month.
INTRO LESSON: $80
First lesson at Ridgefield. 30 mins, please arrive 15 minutes before your lesson time for tacking up.
PRIVATE LESSONS: $70
30 mins, please arrive 15 minutes before your lesson time for tacking up.
SEMI PRIVATE LESSONS: $65
30 min. Limited to three or under riders.
PLEASE NOTE
Lesson checks should be made out to "Ridgefield Riding Academy" and are due on the first of the month (package tuition). A late fee of $20 is applied if the group package payment is received after the 10th of the month. A Courtesy deposit of $50 is required to receive the discounted Monthly Package rate. If a cancellation notice is received 30 days prior to the last package month, and the final month package is paid in full, the $50 deposit will be refunded. Otherwise, the deposit is surrendered.
GROUP LESSONS
Monday through Thursday from 4-8pm.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Can be scheduled according to instructor availability.
Not all times and dates are open, please call for availability. Preference for open slots will be given to those on our waiting list
CANCELLATIONS AND MAKE-UPS
When unable to attend a lesson, please give seven (7) days notice. A message must be received 24 hours before the start of your lesson time to be eligible for a make up lesson. Make up lessons will be given during the group lesson times and must be completed before the end of the month. One make up lesson is permitted per rider package per month. Make up lessons can not be carried over to the following month. Lessons may be cancelled due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If this should happen we will attempt to contact you as soon as possible. We reserve the right to cancel lessons 4 days per year without crediting or making up lessons. Please check the barn answering machine for any lesson updates. A 30 day notice is required when dropping out of the monthly lesson package. This is necessary for our scheduling and staffing.
ATTIRE
A hard hat, long pants and boots with a 1" heel are required. Dress should be appropriate for the weather.
ROUTINE
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your lesson. A list of horses and riders will be provided. If your horse is available you may start grooming and tacking up. A lesson assistant will be in the barn to help the students groom both before and after their lessons. When finished tacking up, wait for the assistant or the instructor to tell you when to head to the ring.
VISITOR SAFETY
Ridgefield has an outdoor patio as well as a heated / air conditioned lounge that are to be used by family and friends to watch lessons. Please do not stand at the rings or in the tack up areas. Please wear appropriate footwear when around the horses and follow any guidelines given by the assistants and instructors.
